  After getting a tip from a friend about nice fish being caught in this small lake, I decided to give it a try. With no boat landing and only a small park to access the lake, i headed out in a canoe. I tied on a rattling rapala and started fishing. After an hour of casting and three small crappies later, suddenly the big one hit. I fought the bass for about 15 minutes as it pulled the canoe around. When i finally saw it, i was amazed at the size. I landed the fish with no problems and headed quickly for the parking lot to go get it weighed.
